What a fun Halloween weekend we had! Friday night we went to see a free Justin Roberts concert at an outdoor mall nearby and participated in some trick-or-treating. It was chilly! Ben's costume was perfect and Owen was too excited to get cold! We enjoyed some hot chocolate at Starbucks before the concert started so we could warm up a bit (Ben had milk!)
Don't mess with this cop!

Justin Roberts was awesome! I think we took Owen to see him at the Printer's Row festival when he was about 14 or 15 mos. Owen had a great time dancing and running with some other kids and Ben just couldn't stop watching!
He loved it!
He is a little man who just loves music/ singing/ dancing, etc. I keep trying to find a music class for both of them that Owen wouldn't be too bored in. We tried Music Together in Gaithersburg which was for kids under 6. Of course the kid closest in age to Owen was 2, so he was not impressed (at all.) When we got in the car he said, "That was boring." Everyone was very nice and Ben loved it, so thank goodness Owen held his tongue until the car!
Saturday we carved our pumpkin
It was a beautiful day, so the boys enjoyed the sunshine on the back patio while Mike did the dirty work!
Please note my hand knit socks... the pattern is called Jaywalker if anyone is interested...
Everyone got in on the fun!
Sunday we went to Montgomery Mall for a little trick-or-treating.
We had something to return, so we got there early. It was a good thing, too! It got super crowded!
We lasted about 45 minutes before we went over to stop by Grandma and Grandpa Walsh's for another treat.
Ben went right for the candy bowl and pulled it off the coffee table! He kept grabbing tootsie pops (wrapped, of course) and shoving them in his mouth!
The ride home! One tired cop! The little monkey was out, too!
But they both perked up pretty quick at the mention of a Happy Meal! (I know, I know... they did not need more junk food on Halloween!) After we got home, Owen handed out candy to a few trick-or-treaters, and both the boys went to bed. They slept great!
