Big City Boy

In February, quite a few of the Chicago museums offered free days. 2 weeks ago, our playgroup decided to venture down to the Shedd Aquarium.

Checking out the map (to make sure we don't miss anything!

Watching fish and turtles

Owen and Eliza are enjoying a rowboat ride. Notice who is rowing.

There was a tent set up in an exhibit on local waters. The boys loved it, though Owen was very nervous about the stuffed raccoon at first!
The Oceanarium was closed, so the aquarium was having a pet show. It wasn't very exciting, but the kids really enjoyed it and it was a great place for them to eat lunch!

We had so much fun, we decided to go to the Field Museum's free day last Wednesday. Unfortunately, my camera died just after we arrived at the Field Museum. This picture was taken while we were waiting in line! My neighbor took a bunch of cute pics of the boys, so I'll post them as soon as I get them!

In the car on the way to the museum. Owen wouldn't take off his baseball hat. He wanted to wear his winter hat over top!

Owen getting ready to go. He kept asking to wear a hat, so Mike found this hat for Owen to wear. He kept putting it on backwards or sideways :o)

Here are the boys, eating a snack and looking at some animals at the museum!
