A very belated Happy New Year!

Well, obviously my New Year's resolution wasn't to keep up with the blog!!! Sorry it's been so long! We've been stuck inside, so I don't really know why I haven't posted for such a long time. It has been very cold and snowy in Chicago for as long as I can remember. My neighbor told me it was supposed to be 35 today (heatwave- seriously depressing!) but the high today is 21 (feels like 10) and it still feels like a heatwave (even more depressing!) Oh, well. Here is what we've been up to...

Owen received this tool bench for Christmas from Grammy and Grandpa and he loves it!

He also loves playing in the sink. Here he is washing his wrench.

We've spent more time than I'd like to admit snuggling on the couch and watching football and Sesame Street (thank goodness for Sprout on demand)

I've been doing a fair amount of knitting for my husband... here he is in his new hat and his new sweater...

We did go to the Zoo Lights in Lincoln Park with our friends Tommy and Lesley. It was beautiful and Owen loved it! Especially the aardvark and giraffes!

And had some other friends over, too!

We hosted Auntie Em for a week while she did lots of interviewing and successfully found a job that she is really excited about. She starts Feb 23 and moves here Feb 15. We are so excited! We miss her already!

Hopefully we'll make it outside later for a little fresh air. We also need to go to the grocery store (my least favorite thing to do!) Hope you all are doing well. I'll try to be a little better with the blog as '09 rolls on!
