June 12th: A BIG Day!

Here are the highlights...
*Ben's first teeth popped through! Yes, I said teeth... His front bottom two teeth finally came through. Hopefully he'll be more comfy, now that they're broken through! Sorry, no photos!
*This is a big one: Owen went you know what in the potty! The kid has been more or less peeing in the potty since October. I've heard it's not uncommon for boys to have a problem with the other thing. We have been hoping he'd get it (and praying a lot) for months. I finally gave up and decided we were not going to speak of it for at least a month. Mike, on the other hand, decided it was going to be his mission to get Owen to go. Maybe he just needed someone nagging him, other than me?!

He was promised a ride on Thomas at the mall,

and dinner at the Firehouse Restaurant, for going. As you can see, Ben is so hungry, he decided to eat Mike's napkin!
Maybe he'll get to go to preschool after all. And, I hope this wasn't just a one time thing...

*Poor Ben has been acting like he could just die to eat real food lately. The pediatrician said he was doing so well and gaining such good weight, that we could wait to feed him until his next check-up in 2 months. What?!? I just wanted to wait until he was 6 months. Have I mentioned that Ben won't take a bottle when I'm at work? For 13+ hours? Not like he's wasting away or anything! Mike wanted to try some cereal last night while I was at work and I reluctantly gave him the green light. Well, apparently he loved it! Here are some pictures...

He was actually mad and crying when Mike ran out of cereal!!!

I'm kind of glad I missed out on the clean-up :o)

*Also, we went on a nice walk to the park and it started pouring... We had to wait under the L tracks for about 20 min!
I wish these pictures did our adventure justice. By the time we could finally head home, there was about an inch + of standing water under right where we were standing...

And, the boys have caught World Cup fever!!!
Coming soon... little Ronaldo...
